Live View of the VAWT and Energy Production Lab at the Manitoba Test Site

Current Test Lab Setup:
(As of December 2021)

  • On our 5kw Vertical Axis Wind Turbine, we are testing the power production of:

    • Two 8 foot blades  (16 ft length total) on each Turbine Arm

    • Blades are set to 90 degrees with a new pitch control system for +/- 10 degrees

    • With a 23 ohm load

    • With a double stacked bearing

  • We have a 5 kw Solar Panel System set up and testing it's durability through extreme wind speeds and as low as  -40 degree Celcius temperatures.
